Four from Novi HS Men's Track Team compete at Nationals, earn All American honors

At the New Balance Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina Friday, the Novi 110m Shuttle Hurdle team earned All American honors, placing fifth overall in the national competition.

The team included Sophomores Lance J. Lilla and Derek Cingel, and Juniors Derek Kim and Davante Greer - the youngest team competing. They finished with a time of 1:02.40, just 3 seconds shy of the fastest team in the nation.

Also at Greensboro, the Novi 4 x Mile team placed 16th of 25 teams with a total time of 18:23. The team consisted of Seniors Dan Egner and Mike Blaszczyk along with Juniors Brett Giampa and Joe Schubring.
