January 16, 2012 As we are all told through out the course of our lives, "patience is a virtue." I have come to notice that this saying is applicable to just about all aspects of life. One must only look at it the right way. Lately, the Novi Wildcats Boys Varsity Basketball team has
depicted this quote exceptionally well. For those of you who have been
keeping tabs on the team, you would know they have not been doing as
well as we would all hope. Currently standing with a 2-6 record, it's
safe to say that it has been a frustrating season, so far. Though, after the first five games of the season, it appeared that things began to click with the 'Cats. Taking down two teams in a row (S. Lyon E and S. Lyon) seemed to have shown growth in the capabilities of Novi's squad. While some would doubt this due to the most recent loss to their all-time-rival, the Northville Mustangs, in reality, progress was still made. One only has to look close enough to see it. When speaking with Jocz, he told me that he believes the team is "playing a lot better now." Jocz went on to explain that the improvements are due to the seemingly newly developed "team chemistry and offense." Also that they "are focused more on the little things in practice and having a high intensity throughout the drills." Slowly, but surely, modifications are being made amongst the Novi Wildcats Varsity Basketball team. Soon enough, the 'Cats should be back to their dominant old ways. Let's just be patient.
