Greatness Needs No
Self-Promotion -
but is deserving of recognition

August 24, 2008

Each year I am amazed at the talent that is produced in the halls of Novi High School. Academic excellence has been chronicled in national magazines, and athletically the accomplishments of Wildcats past and present speak for themselves.

Male and female, present and past, everywhere you look Wildcat faithful are treated to a new story almost every week of someone’s dream coming true.

We’re only a little over a week away from another school year and most of us look forward to another campaign of success stories.

Who might become the next Michael Phelps? Or for that matter the next great politician, doctor, lawyer, father, mother of outstanding citizen of the community that conducts their business for the greater good.

I’ve been saying that sports teach life lessons for as long as I can remember. And in Novi, we take our sports pretty seriously.

So as you head out to Wildcat Country this Friday night to see the Wildcats take on the Milford Mustangs look to your left and your right, and down on the field. You’ll be looking at our future leaders.

Every year as been special, and this year will be no different. As you look at our future leaders, being groomed right here in Novi, you can only come to one conclusion:

The future looks bright...
