1/2/2006 Now that fall sports like Soccer, Football, and Cross-Country have concluded, it’s time to turn indoors for exciting contests involving Volleyball, Gymnastics and Competitive Cheer on the women’s side, and basketball, hockey, and wrestling on the men’s side. Both men and women compete in bowling during the winter. For seniors they’ll be winding down their HS schools and graduation will be here before you know it. For avid fans, HS winter sports offer a great way to navigate through long, trying Michigan winters. Indoor sports take on a different dynamic, and since there are so many multiple sport athletes it gives one a chance to see their favorite players up close and personal. Add to the great success Novi Wildcat teams have had the past few years in KVC competition as well as non-league and District Play, it makes for a nice segue before the Spring seasons take shape and we go back outdoors. In that sense there are three seasons in MHSAA sports. Fall, Winter, and Spring. But for avid fans like us, there is one long season that always seems to deliver top-flight athletic competition and a great family experience. That of course would be, Wildcat Season! (c) 2006 Novi
