10/3/2005 A football team, or any team for that matter, is like a family. A lot of time is spent together, working, playing, relaxing, eating, celebrating, and even suffering sometimes. But as a family unit, you can usually count on the necessary support from family members to make it through the rigors of a long season. Sometimes, even an extended family, can become a huge part of the main family. Say hello to the Sprys family. Where would Diana Ross be without “The Supremes?” Where would Gladys Knight be without “The Pips?” Where would Novi football be without the Sprys’? The entire Sprys family contributes and is very involved in the success of Wildcat football in some form or fashion. Joe Sprys is responsible for all the video taken at games. In addition he spends many Friday nights and Saturday mornings duplicating games on DVD for Coaches and Staff to review. This is a critical part in preparing a team from week to week. Carol Sprys is the secretary to the Athletic Department. This is a responsibility that requires quite a bit of multi-tasking. Their daughter, Rebecca Sprys is a defensive spotter on the stats crew. And of course their son, Dan Sprys is an interior lineman on the Varsity Team and he wears #75. All in all, it’s quite a family effort, and it supports the larger football family, performing critical behind the scenes functions that help enable Novi football to maintain the level of success they’ve come to enjoy. A solid family is the foundation of a civilized society. It’s also a big part of a High Caliber Football Program. Thank you, Sprys family. (c) 2005 Novi
