When in Rome
10/23/03
As the omnipresent ESPN personality and syndicated sports radio talk
show host always says, “step into the jungle and have a take, but don’t
suck or we’ll run ya!” So, no matter what happens in the next month,
here’s my take on our boys, because ever since late summer, they be
representin’.
Big shout out to QB Hart, who throws like Sinatra sings, deep and with
feel. And, how ‘bout those receivers, Hoover and Kreutzberg, Angelocci
and Fratto. You know, 2/3 of the world is covered with water, the other
1/3 is held down by these four men. And by the way, Angelocci punts and
kicks too… I head over for a cup of coffee, and when I get back to my
seat, the ball still hasn’t come down.
Lotsa love to the Woods boys… all of them, and the Big Buck. Buck hits
like a mule on both sides of the ball, and then smiles at you when
you’re dizzy and your nose is runny.
Gotta love the way Chris Scott clowns all over opposing punters, he gets
up for special teams like Jared at a Subway convention. What up with the
Brandau kid? He nuts up with a cast on his hand and comes up big;
imagine if he had two hands?
Pritchard ‘s been the center of attention amidst the bigguns in the
trenches and Kaminski, Gorman, Thurman, Hoffman, Sisson, Dragon,
Clemons, Smith, Pantaleo, Margrave, Dieghton, Costello, Carter and
Jabbori will throw down anytime, anywhere, just make sure you know what
you’re signin’ up for when you get into the ring with these dudes…True
that!
Meanwhile Cislo and Carnegie been showin’ some skills too, and secretly
sayin’ wait’ll next year… Word up!
All in all our homies have been busier than Fat Albert at Baskin Robbins
on free scoop Tuesday! But don’t look now, is it the playoffs already?
The second season? The road to the promised land?… No doubt.
Hey, memo to y’all; From here on out, no matter what happens, it’s been
real. Big props to all you boys, as a group ya’ll are tight, believe me,
I ain’t trippin!
And, I have no idea what I’ve just said, but I bet you know what I
meant…
Mucho Love… I’m out.
