Moe Leon -
It’s all in the Family

Novi’s
Moe Leon is the consummate family man. In addition
to his wife of 25 years and 5 kids of his own, he
also considers his first-class restaurant, ‘Moe’s on
Ten’ a part of his family and to a degree as a
respected citizen in Novi, he even considers our
community, ‘like a family.’
On October 20, 2007, Moe Leon
celebrated his 25th year in Novi and many residents
have probably enjoyed many meals at the old ‘Leons’
before it became Moe’s on Ten in 2005.
And in 25 years Moe has seen a lot
of change. Back in 1982, Novi was dominated by
farmland, but now it is a bustling, burgeoning
community. Moe has seen the Police department grow
from 12 to 72 officers, he’s seen the population
grow from 25,000 to over 60,000 and he’s seen a lot
of people and businesses come and go.
But Moe has endured because of a
simple philosophy; he loves to help people. “Novi is
a great community, and when people visit my
restaurant, I want them to feel like it is their
home away from home.”
And, in one of the fastest growing
cities in the county, if not the state, Moe has
managed to keep up with the growth and the change
while still maintaining true to his roots and in his
philosophy- treat everyone like family.
The atmosphere at Moe’s on Ten is
comfortable, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and
of course- homey. But the menu is up-to-date,
stylish and it offers lots of choices- all
delectable, all prepared with the care you’d find at
a family holiday gathering.
As a result, Moe’s on Ten is
consistently busy which lends itself to a certain
ambience, but the service is always excellent and
you’re greeted and treated – like family…
In this day and age where news of
downsizing, businesses closing doors and moving out
Michigan seems to be a weekly occurrence, Moe’s
venture has expanded and is growing.
In fact, Moe has reached out and
helped kids in the community providing them with
employment and educational opportunities. He has
worked in conjunction with Novi HS, making sure
students are complying with their obligations while
having a chance to earn a great income working in a
terrific environment.
And Moe is loyal, tremendously
loyal. One of his employees, Tommy Doyle, a
dedicated worker and big Detroit Lions fan has
worked for Moe for 8 years, and he’s only 22! His
mother Pam, worked for Moe for over 19 years!
Such loyalty and dedication is
typically reserved only for family, but as we have
seen, Moe treats everyone like family. He has a
giving heart and he is always looking for ways to
enhance the experience at his restaurants. He
completely remodeled both the Wixom and Novi stores
back in 2006, and he expanded his menu. He brought
back breakfast, and his buffet is terrific. It is a
real fan favorite on Sunday mornings, especially.
In short, dining at Moe’s on Ten
is like a family gathering. His restaurant features
all the amenities and refinements of the larger
commercial properties, while maintaining the
homespun, personal, intimate feel you’d find at
local neighborhood establishment.
You may remember we featured Moe
Leon back in 2005 and the moniker was ‘one bite, and
you’re hooked.’ It’s still that way, you can find
out for yourself and I’m sure you probably have. For
a quarter of a century now, Moe Leon has provided a
dining experience that extends well beyond the
standard fare when it comes to a kindred spirit
between people.
When the history books are
written, they will show that Moe Leon has been a
stellar citizen in Novi. He’s done so by offering a
great place for people to congregate, a neat
environment for kids and adults to earn a living
while enjoying their efforts, and a friendship and
loyalty typically reserved only for family. His
giving heart has produced positive experiences for
people of all ages in Novi and surrounding cities
for over 25 years.
You’ll be hooked on the food,
hooked on the service, but most importantly you’ll
be treated like family.
Because to Moe Leon…you are like
family.
