Wild and Milford Tie 4-4
2/13/03
No, you're not seeing double. It actually is the second
4-4 tie for the Wild this week. Kyle Wells lead the team
with two goals, and Mike Berger and Jordan Pustover each added
another for the Wild.
Wild and Brighton Tie 4-4
2/11/03
Following an
exciting Novi vs. Brighton varsity game, the second place Novi
Wild took on the league leading Brighton Bulldogs JV team.
It was the second exciting and close game of the night resulting
in a 4 to 4 tie.
The Bulldogs struck first on a power-play goal near the end of a
four minute penalty kill by the Wild. The Bulldogs also
scored the second goal to take a 2-0 lead.
Goals by Collin Berger and Brandon Harrell tied the score.
The Bulldogs came right back to retake the lead 3 to 2. A
goal by Keven Gee knoted the score again at 3 to 3. Again
the Bulldogs rallied retake the lead once more at 4 to 3.
After a flurry of opportunities around the Bulldogs net, Nate
White tied the score for the final time 4 -4 and that is how it
ended.
Andrew Marsoupian played a solid game in net for the Wild.
Sean Hogan returned from the disabled list to play his first
game of the season to help the Wild's core of defenseman keep
the Bulldogs at bay.
Catch the action this Wednesday again following the varsity game
as the WIld
take on Milford's JV.
Wild Shutdown Howell 1-0
2/4/03
Brandon Harrell scored the only
goal of the game, as the Wild defeated Howell Monday at Novi.
It was a solid defensive performance by both teams that held the
score low. Justin Ruccolo played a superb game in net,
earning a well-deserved shutout and stopping an onslaught of
shots in the final minute of play that included a couple
incredible glove saves.
Weekend Update
2/2/03
The Novi Wild traveled to Muskegon this past weekend to
participate in a "Friendship Tournament." Saturday
morning, the Wild beat a tough Mona Shores
team 3 to 2. Later that day, they played Catholic Central.
Although the first half of the game was close, the Wild
eventually ran away with it winning 7 - 2. Sunday morning
the players were a little sluggish from the day and night
before and lost a morning game to Mona Shores by a score of 4 -
1. The Wild hosted a previous game back on 1/11/03 beating
Mona Shores 5 - 2 to take the season series two games to one.
