Prove It
September 16, 2009
Being a student at Novi High
School means a great deal to all of us and we should be
proud of our school. You are getting an education from one
of the best schools in the state, along with tons of
opportunities to explore who you want to be. Along with all
of this though, is the chance to prove to yourself, your
parents, and most of all your school that you are
responsible and capable of handling even more freedoms.
What I’m saying is,
responsibility can go along way, but ever since we became
students in any one of the Novi schools we were taught how
to be responsible, and now is your chance to actually prove
it.
So, next time you go out with
your friends and they want you to do something that goes
against what you think and know is right, show your pride in
who you are and say no. You as an individual need to take
control of situations that you are put into, and prove that
you are someone you want to be and not who others want you
to be.
Doing these things can prove,
not only to yourself, but to the school in which you attend,
and to your parents, how you can be independent and
trustworthy. This proves to your parents and teachers that
you took the information that they gave you and put it to
good use.
If you get one thing from
this quick note, it should be that this time in high school
is the best time to prove to everyone around you that you
are who you want to be and you know how to do things right.
Also let's look for others doing things right and compliment
them for there efforts.
Prove that you can be responsible, trustworthy, and
independent, and go out there and do things that you want to
do, not what others want you to do. Don’t do the things that
you think will make you cool when they really will only get
you in trouble, and cause you to lose some of the
responsibility and freedoms you have earned so far.
Especially with homecoming
right around the corner this is a great chance to prove it! |
